Beach wedding in the Maldives |

One of the most romantic beach wedding locations is the Maldives, where the blue waters of the Indian Ocean seem to blend with the blue horizon.
A typical Maldivian wedding ceremony takes place on the beach at sunset under a canopy made of coconut palms. The bride makes her entrance from a dhoni, a traditional Maldivian sailboat, and is carried to the beach where her groom is waiting.

After exchanging vows and rings, the couple is whisked away to a barbecue dinner reception to the rhythmic drumming and dancing of Bodu Beru folk music.
A coconut tree is symbolically planted the morning after in honor of the newly weds.
